  • What are the main styles of traditional Ao Dai and other clothing options offered at VietCharm-AodaiHouse?
    VietCharm-AodaiHouse specializes in traditional Ao Dai and offers five main different styles: 1. Vietnamese dynasty traditional dress, embodying the elegance and cultural heritage of Vietnam. 2. Traditional dress with long sleeves, high collar, and a long dress, perfect for formal and special occasions. 3. Traditional and modern style: Long dress with a modern collar and stylish sleeves, blending traditional elements with contemporary designs. 4. Modern style: Fashionable and trending styles are updated yearly, catering to those who seek a modern twist on the classic garment. 5. In addition, VietCharm-AodaiHouse also provides menswear and kids' clothing options, ensuring that the entire family can experience the beauty of Vietnamese traditional attire.
  • What is your product warranty?
    NO warranties, selling the goods “as is” for “sale off products” and non-exclusive items. The Customer acknowledges that it has not relied on, and VIETCHARM has not made any representations or warranties concerning the quality or condition of the Goods, and it is purchasing the Goods on an “as is” basis. VIETCHARM expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness. YES, VIETCHARM provides warranties. VIETCHARM gives 05 days limited warranty from the date of delivery that the Goods are in good condition and shall be free from substantive defects. The warranty does not apply to any Goods that are damaged due to the misuse, abuse or negligence of any party other than VIETCHARM.   • How long ahead should I order for available stocks?
    A: Yes, if your event is coming up in less than 1 month, off-the-rack samples are available for purchase at VietCharm-AodaiHouse. Once we receive your order, we will ship it to you and the shipping time will depend on the shipping option that you chose when you check out. This allows customers to still have access to our beautiful áo dài dresses even on short notice. It's important to note that the availability of off-the-rack samples may vary, so we recommend contacting us directly to confirm the availability and discuss any specific details for your order.   • How accurate are the product photos displayed on your website?
    A: At VietCharm-AodaiHouse, we sell you the actual dress in the photo. However, please note that the colour and material of fabrics may not be exactly 100% as shown in the image due to variations in fabric seasons and photo lighting. We strive to provide the closest representation possible, but we advise customers to allow for slight differences in colour and fabric when ordering. If you have any specific concerns about this, please feel free to reach out to our customer service team for further assistance.
  • Are all your products available for customized service?
    A: Yes, We do offer size customization for our in-store samples, but please note that this service is only available for a limited 5-time request for that design only. Once the quantity has been reached, we will no longer be able to customize the size. We strive to provide a personalized experience for our customers while also ensuring the uniqueness of our designs. However, you are welcome to choose from other available samples or pre-order collections. Please also note that due to fabric seasonal limitations, we are unable to customize print fabrics on our ao dai. Thank you for your understanding of our process and commitment to providing unique and high-quality ao dai for our customers.
  • How long ahead should I order customised dresses?
    A: At VietCharm-AodaiHouse, custom Aodai dresses can be processed up to 90 days in advance to ensure the dress will be available on the desired date. This allows our customers to plan and secure their custom dress for special occasions or events. Additionally, for those in need of an express order, it is possible to expedite the process by paying a $30 deposit for a minimum processing time of 30 days. This flexible purchasing option caters to the individual needs and time constraints of our valued customers.
  • How do I care for products?
    Wash clothes Vietcharm products should be hand-washed or dry-cleaned. You should use a mild detergent (shampoo, shower gel) to wash your ao dai instead of regular laundry detergent. Absolutely do not use bleach. Wash separately from other clothes In case you cannot hand wash, you can machine wash with the lightest wash mode, remember to use a laundry bag. However, with silk and brocade, Vietcharm still encourages customers to hand-wash For new fabric products that are still stiff, you can soak in fabric softener to soften the surface for more comfortable wearing. Drying clothes Dry the ao dai in a ventilated, moderately sunny place to avoid fading. Too much sunlight will cause the ao dai to fade and lose its shine Iron Iron on the lightest setting Iron the inside to secure the fabric surface. It is recommended to use a steam iron. If using a regular iron, you should place a wet piece of paper on the fabric surface before ironing Care If you do not wear ao dai often, you should hang your ao dai or put it in a clean bag and place it in the closet so that your ao dai is always clean, soft, and dust-free. Avoid hanging the ao dai on the hanger for too long as it will cause the colour of the ao dai to fade For accessories, Try to keep the jewellery from getting wet by removing them before you shower, go to the sauna or take a swim. You can take care of your jewellery by cleaning them with mild soap water and then oiling them afterwards. Oils that are suitable for this purpose are among others coconut oil, olive oil or any other kind of natural oil. By oiling the wooden jewellery you keep the wood from cracking and the surface of the jewellery stays beautiful.
  • What is the difference between an Exclusive collection and others?
    Our exclusive collection is designed by the owners, and it is a limited collection with a unique selection of sizes. In addition to our exclusive collection, we also carry designs from our in-house team and other designers, allowing us to offer a range of sizes to accommodate our diverse customer base. Whether you are petite, plus-sized, or somewhere in between, we strive to provide a size-inclusive shopping experience at VietCharm-AodaiHouse.
  • What are the sizes of your sample dresses?

  • Do I need to make an appointment to try on dresses?
    YES, YOU DO! We take private one-on-one booking only so that customers can have the best customer service experience with full-on attention from our friendly consultants. Simply click on the ‘BOOKING’ button at the top of this page or call us on 0449 144 568 and we will find the best time for you.
  • How long for an appointment?
    The appoitment will be maximum 1 hour or less.
  • Why do I need to pay for the booking appointment and it is redeemable?
    The booking fee is to secure your appointment. If you purchase items, the fee is fully redeemable for a normal consultation and partly redeemable for a custom design consultation.
  • Can I bring my friends when I come to the store?
    The best shopping experiences are often when you just come with one, or two more people. Often we see girls come into the store with a large group of friends, and they end up confused, frustrated and without a dress because there are too many opinions. Keep it simple, and bring your most honest and trusted shopping buddy. You can rely on our team to look after you, we will not let anyone buy a dress that isn’t perfect for them!
  • Are your products available for rental services?
    Our rental is for a 5-day process with 4 rental days in Victoria state. We recommend you pick up your order 1-2 days before the event to ensure you have plenty of time to get your perfect look. Day 1: Retrieve the item and try it on Day 2: Prep for the big day Day 3: Wear it (and work it) at your event Day 4: Cleaning the dress Day 5: Return your rental item to our boutique. For Interstate, the rental will be counted from the day delivered. All the rental services need to be booked for express shipping (3-5 business days shipping). Thus, the total day will be 10 days. Day 1: Request and make payment order Day 2: Shipping time (3-5 business days) Day 3: Received and tried it on Day 4: Prep for the big day Day 5: Wear it (and work it) at your event Day 6: Cleaning the dress Day 7: Post your rental item to our boutique
  • Do you offer alteration services?
    We do offer alteration services, but only for Purchase Orders. Our designer is based in Australia and our products are designed specifically for our dress form. The alteration process will take a week, and if you need express service, an additional charge will apply. Each part of the service will cost $5. However, please note that the alteration service is only available for our items. On the other hand, we do not provide alteration services for rental products."
  • Are there any late fees applied?
    If there is a delay in returning the product, the Customer must contact The Seller immediately. Depending on the circumstances, an additional fee may or may not be applied. Late fee of 25% of the hire price per day will be applied for late returns, which is effective starting the next day of the final return date. If The Customer fails to return the rental item(s) within three (3) days of the provided return date without making an official statement, VIETCHARM will declare the rental item(s) non-returned and hold the whole 100% deposit that The Customer has already paid.
  • What are your Cancellation/ Refund/ Exchange Policies for rental items?
    If we are unable to process your order for any reason, the deposit will be refunded. All items purchased are non-returnable after leaving VIETCHARM’s premises. For In-store, all hired items are non-refundable after leaving VIETCHARM’s premises. Customers are required to check for any damages, or faculties on the product before completing the item. The Customer will hold responsibility for any damages incurred after the product leaves our premises. For Online, you can choose between a refund or exchange where items are faulty, have been wrongly described, or differ from what you purchased on the website. A $25 cancellation fee per order applies to all cancelled pickup dresses. If your event is cancelled or you cancel your hire, VIETCHARM will happily refund the rental amount minus the $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations must be advised 48 hours before the Pickup Booking start date, before the item is collected by the customer or posted to the customer. VIETCHARM does not offer refunds for any reason for cancellation of items after you pick them up and cannot accommodate requests for changes in those circumstances. VIETCHARM reserves all rights to refuse any requests for variations submitted after the confirmation date. VIETCHARM reserves the right to cancel the product/products at reasonable notice. Reasons for cancellation may include (but are not limited to) an item being unavailable due to an unexpected late return by the previous customer or damage to an item. In this case of a cancellation, The Service Provider offers a full refund, store credit or the option to exchange for another item. For the exchange, We’re happy to send you the best-fit size and do an exchange! Otherwise, we only replace other items if we don’t have different sizes with the same items. As such, you will be responsible for paying for your shipping costs to exchange your item. We can support you by shipping the exchange items once you send us the tracking number confirmation for the return item. But in this case, we cannot guarantee that the items with come on time for the exchange of products.   • What is your rental price?
    The rental price is 60% of the purchase price, but rental is only available for stock in our physical store. To rent an ao dai, you can visit our store, browse through the available stock, and select the ao dai you would like to rent. For in-store, Our staff will assist you with the rental process, including the fitting and payment. Please note that we require a security deposit and have specific terms and conditions for the rental, which you can inquire about in-store or on our policies page for online rent. We strive to make the rental process convenient and ensure that you have a beautiful and authentic ao dai for your special occasion.
  • What are your payment options?
    Payment for the Goods can be conducted by card or cash & wire transfer (Australia only).
  • What are your Cancellation Policies for in-store items?
    12.1. If we are unable to process your order for any reason, the deposit will be refunded. 12.2. All items purchased are non-returnable after leaving VIETCHARM’s premises. 12.2.1. For In-store, The Customer is responsible for checking for any damages, and faculties on the product before completing the payment. The Customer will hold responsibility for any damages incurred after the product leaves our premises. 12.2.2. For online purchasing, you can choose between a refund or exchange where purchasing items are faulty, have been wrongly described, or differ from what you purchased on the website by 90% (the colour may be different from the photos) 12.3. A $25 cancellation fee will be applied to all cancelled pick-up dress appointments if the Customer cancels your purchase before the appointment date. VIETCHARM may happily refund the purchasing amount minus the $25 cancellation fee. Note: We do not refund the 30% non-refundable Deposit for order products. 12.4. Cancellations must be advised 48 hours before the Pick-up appointment date or before VIETCHARM’s shipping date/schedule. 12.5. VIETCHARM does not offer refunds for any reason after you pick up your item(s). Store credit or exchange will apply ONLY. 12.6. VIETCHARM reserves all rights to refuse any requests for variations submitted after the confirmation date. 12.7. VIETCHARM reserves the right to cancel the product(s) at reasonable notice. Reasons for cancellation may include (but are not limited to): the item being unavailable due to an unexpected late return by the rental customer, delays in shipping, damages or faulty found. In this situation, VIETCHARM may offer a full refund, store credit or exchange for another item. 12.8. Once the order has been shipped, you will be responsible for paying for your shipping costs to cancellation your item.   • What are your exchange policies?
    Exchange Policy 10.1. VIETCHARM accepts an exchange ONLY for the same item in different sizes and there will not be any additional charges. 10.2. Exchange items need to be the same price or above ONLY. 10.2. Items for exchange must be unused, with the original tag and original packing. We do not accept returns on items that have been worn, damaged, washed or altered in any way. 10.3. If the new item is a different product (including a different colour) and there is a price difference The Customer may need to pay the difference or receive a partial refund. 10.4. Items on sale from 25% and above cannot be exchanged. 10.5. Other options (check one): ☐ Store credit 10.6. As such, you will be responsible for paying for your shipping costs to exchange your item.   • What are your refund policies?
    9.1. VIETCHARM is happy to refund within 5 days from the receiving date. Once VIETCHARM receives your parcel, the refund will be automatically processed. 9.2. The item returned must be unused, with the original tag and original packing. We do not accept returns on items that have been worn, damaged, washed or altered in any way. 9.3. The following items cannot be returned: jewellery, accessories, traditional shoes, bags, scarves, headbands. 9.4. Items on “as it” or sale from 25% and above cannot be returned or refunded. Note: Please do not send your return items to the address on your package. Always check and read the confirmation of return details provided by VIETCHARM before shipping. Please double-check your returns before shipping out. VIETCHARM will not be held responsible for the return of non-Vietcharm Ao Dai House products. If you received damaged/defective items, please contact VIETCHARM as soon as possible for assistance. The Customer is responsible for the shipping cost of returned items. 9.5. Refund methods: The refund will be processed to your ☐ online banking or by ☐ cash as per agreement/confirmation between The Customer and VIETCHARM. (Check one) 9.6. Returns will be processed within 10 days from the date we received your parcel. This is an estimated timeframe to accommodate current situations. 9.7.   • Pre-Order Items
    Pre-Order items may available for 3 options: 1. Custom-to-Size and will be available within 3 months from the date of deposit. 2. Selecting from predetermined size (size chart guide available on FAQs) and receive item in 3 months from the date of deposit. 3. Alternative service available if we can fix the dress for you in 2 weeks from the date of deposit. Custom-to-Size items will require a 100% deposit to proceed to the next step. After the order has been placed, the customer will be contacted by an expert consultant immediately to proceed custom measurements. 1. Pay full 100% by selecting Custom-to-Size if you either wishes to Custom-to-Size, or 2. Deposit $50 and receive further consultation but chat or email us for enquires.   • Custom-to-Size Orders
    1. Custom-to-Size option is available for certain products and will be available within 3 months from the date of deposit. 2. Custom-to-Size items will require a 100% deposit to proceed to the next step. After the order has been placed, the customer will be contacted by an expert consultant immediately to proceed with custom measurements. 3. The customer will be required to book a customised consultation is complete and the order is approved. When the consultant has confirmed that the payment has been received the order would be proceed to be manufactured and shipped up to 3 months from the date of complete payment. 4. If you don't have time to consult with us, you can send us your size based on our measurement guide and follow the instructions in the Custom-to-Size FAQ and our custom agreement on our Policies page. However, you need to take responsibility for the measurement that you sent to us. 5. If a customer has a change of mind within 48 hours (2 days) time from the date of deposit and notifies the consultant via chat, the deposit will be fully refunded. 6. Design modification requests will not be applied after the dress is more than 30% complete, as determined by, and at the sole discretion of VIETCHARM.
  • Custom-to-Design Orders Consultation step
    1. The consultation appointment includes an email or an appointment meeting with the designer to discuss the client’s design and budget as well as a series of communications about the design. This would be a great time to bring in photos of Ao Dai you like along with colour preference and to know what type of look you want to achieve that will help to decide on a certain style if you are completely unsure of what you would like. I would be happy to guide you on the best looks to fit your body type and personal style. 2. A non-refundable consultation fee of $50 per design is required which must be paid in cash or via online bank transfer at the commencement of the consultation. The customer needs to sign and pay the deposit in 3 days after the Agreement is sent, otherwise, the agreement will be expired. Once we proceed together, in crafting your piece, the consultation fee will be redeemed towards the purchase. 3. If 90 days have elapsed from the date of consultation, the client would have forfeited his/her consultation fee and the value can no longer be applied towards the purchase. We reserve the right to extend this period on a case-by-case basis. 4. The consultation includes the full development of the bespoke design including identifying all materials and gems and building the design model of the piece/s. An accurate quotation can only be given after the completion of the design and the discussion with our team after the consultation date. 5. After an initial consultation or correspondence in which the Customer communicates to the Designer what he(she) is envisioning, the Designer shall provide one to two sketches maximum in 5 days of possible designs to choose from. These sketches may be synthesized or modified until the final design is agreed upon. 6. The Customer confirms and agrees that the Custom Design accurately reflects your wishes with respect to style, fabric selection, and all other Product details. The Customer understands and agrees that the Price of the Product has been calculated based on the Custom Design. 7. If the Custom Design involves fabrics and/or materials not currently in stock with the Designer, the Customer will be notified of the need to order such items. If the fabrics and/or materials are unavailable or are on backorder, the Customer will be given the option of a, Selecting alternate fabric and/or materials suitable by VIETCHARM. b, Choosing other fabrics and/or materials suitable by Customer
  • Custom-to-Design Orders From Vision to Concept step
    8.1. We often get asked to recreate styles from other designers. Please note that every artist is different, so everything will not be as exact 100%. Every designer has their way of creating. Patterns, sewing techniques, fabric choices and personal way of style are what make each design unique. So, to avoid any conflict we would recommend the Customer order from that particular designer, that way you would receive the best quality of your products. 8.2. For the Fabric and materials, we keep very limited fabrics in store, however with our fabric connections we can get a variety of fabrics to make your vision come to life. For any fabric samples that are not in store, we will send the fabric picture through email around 7 days flexibly after the consultation date. 8.3. The Product custom and purchasing can be processed up to 90 days in advance to make sure the dress will be available on the date. 8.4. For the express order, you agree to pay a plus $30 deposit for the express order minimum in 30 days. The Designer may not provide sketches, depending on the urgency of the customer.
  • Payment step
    1. VIETCHARM is responsible for sending the updated agreement, including shipping method confirmation. The consultation fee will be redeemed on top of the sub-total of order. Also, the plus fee will include in the total price. 2. VIETCHARM will include the measurement cheat sheet if the Customer is Online shopping and interstages. 3. The Customer confirms again the design to make sure it is the right design. Once VIETCHARM receives the receipt of payment, the order will start processing.
  • Custom-to-Design Orders Sizing step
    1. For best fit, it would be recommended to come with fitted clothes preferably nude underwear, a push-up bra size that you prefer to wear on the day and a fitted top so that your correct silhouette is captured. 2. VIETCHARM is responsible for taking measurements of the Customer, choosing, and agreeing upon the used fabrics and materials of the Product, and setting and showing up at fitting appointments. 3. The Product custom and purchasing can be processed up to 90 days in advance to make sure the dress will be available on the date. 4. For online consultation, VIETCHARM will give the client the guidelines and VIETCHARM will follow the measurement that you gave to us. If the items do not fit you well, we do not have responsibility for the items. Two options will be suggested: You can bring it to a local alteration service to fit the dress You can ship it back to us to fix that if it can be repaired. However, As such, you will be responsible for paying for your shipping costs to exchange your item. If the design is not similar to 80% of the one we agreed on, the client will send it back to us and we will fix or do the new one for you. As such, you will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs of your item. We will be responsible for sending fixed items.
  • Custom-to-Design Orders Fitting appointments step
    1. After signing the Agreement and placing the order with VIETCHARM, we may be required to show up to fitting appointments. 2. When setting up the date and the time for the fitting appointments it is essential that the Customer ensures that you will be able to show up to them. If the Customer does not show up for your fitting appointment or is more than 1 hour late or cancels it with less than 24-hour notice, it will be considered missed. 3. The fitting appointment can be rescheduled for free only one time at a customer’s request if you give at least a 24-hour notice to VIETCHARM. 4. The Customer has to be aware that missing or rescheduling fitting appointments may lead to delays in the manufacturing process. The Designer will not be responsible for not being able to deliver the Product on time due to a missed, cancelled or rescheduled fitting appointment.
  • Custom-to-Design Orders Design modification step
    1. If the Customer wishes to modify the Custom Design in any way after the date this Agreement was signed, you must email VIETCHARM. Within 48 hours of receiving the email, VIETCHARM shall offer the Customer an updated sketch of his (her) design and/or a complete detailed technical description of the requested changes, as well as an Updated Price for the Product, reflecting the additional materials resulting from VIETCHARM modification(s) the Customer requested. 2. To initiate the design modification(s), the Customer must reply by email, confirming that you accept the modified Custom Design and that you agree to pay the additional charges that shall be added to your final balance. 3. Please note that design modification requests will not be applied after the dress is more than 30% complete, as determined by, and at the sole discretion of VIETCHARM.
  • Custom-to-Design Orders Responsibilities policies
    12.1. During the consultation process, the Seller agrees to faithfully record the ideas and design directives of the client, in conjunction with the Seller’s design advice. 12.2. The VIETCHARM agrees to regularly consult, if and as required, with the client during the manufacturing process. 12.3. The client agrees to regularly consult, if and as required, with the Seller during the manufacturing process. 12.4. Any/all design change requests made by the client regarding the finished item/s will be at the client's cost. If the changes requested by the client were recorded and formed part of the original design plan but can be shown to not be reasonably represented in the finished item/s, then the costs of these specified changes will be covered by the VIETCHARM. 12.5. In this context (clauses 7 and 10) requested changes do not include the replacement of gems and stones due to the customer preference after receiving the dress. All gems and stones will be selected before manufacture and inserted into the final item/s in good faith, by the VIETCHARM. 12.6. In this context (clause’s 7 and 10) requested changes do not include the replacement of the client's gems that have incurred damage or breakage as a result of the resetting process and cannot be included in the final article. 12.7. The VIETCHARM agrees to take all reasonable care when using client-provided gems, in both set and unset states but does not guarantee nor insure against breakage or damage for any gems independently sourced by the client for use in item/s. 12.8. In the event of a breakage or damage occurring to a client’s stones or gems, replacement stones and gems can/will be selected by the client in consultation with the Seller and final cost/s will be adjusted and agreed to, at that time. 12.9. Both parties agree in principle that the VIETCHARM is the authority on resources and designs for the item/s and acts in good faith regarding any advice and/or technical knowledge given to the client as part of the design process. 12.10. For online consultation, VIETCHARM will give the client the guidelines and VIETCHARM will follow the measurement that you gave to us. If the items do not fit you well, we do not have responsibility for the items. Two options will be suggested: You can bring it to a local alteration service to fit the dress You can ship it back to us to fix that if it can be repaired. However, As such, you will be responsible for paying for your shipping costs to exchange your item.   • Can you please provide me with information about your measurement guides?
    Yes. Those are our measurement guide below Note: This is only apply with our ao dai, it could not apply with other brand. For women, please make sure you use the nude underware that you will wear for your date. For men, you need to ware the suit pants that you wear on the date.

    * A signature will be required upon delivery of over $300 in total purchasing. * Orders weighing over 2kg will have different prices.   • What is your Delivery Policy?
    1. Vietcharm will contact the Customer by phone or e-mail approximately 24 hours before the Product is complete to schedule a pick-up time and final fitting. Please note that pick-up must take place during Vietcharm’s standard business hours of 9:00 AM to 7 PM. 2. When setting up the date and the time for the pick-up appointment it is essential that the Customer ensures that you will be able to show up, as the Designer will not be able to change the appointment date or time. If the Customer does not show up for your pick-up appointment or is more than 30 minutes late, or cancels it with less than 24-hour notice, it will be considered missed and will be subject to a $50.00 missed appointment fee, which will be added to Customer’s final balance. 3. The pick-up appointment can be rescheduled for free if the Customer pays off the remaining balance for the Product no later than the pick-up date set by this Agreement. 4. If the Customer is unable to make the re-scheduled appointment, Vietcharm shall pack the Product and ship it to the address the Customer provided at the time you signed this Agreement. If you wish to have the Product sent to a different address, it is your sole responsibility to contact Vietcharm and give the alternate shipping address. Please note that Vietcharm will ship the Product to the Customer only after receiving the full payment for the Product and services offered according to this Agreement, as well as the delivery price. 5. Vietcharm is not responsible for delays in the delivery of the Product outside its control, such as postal or courier delays, hurricanes and other natural disasters, or any other unforeseen.

VIETCHARM expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness. YES, VIETCHARM provides warranties.   • Are all your products available for customized service?
    A: Yes, We do offer size customization for our in-store samples, but please note that this service is only available for a limited 5-time request for that design only. Once the quantity has been reached, we will no longer be able to customize the size. We strive to provide a personalized experience for our customers while also ensuring the uniqueness of our designs. However, you are welcome to choose from other available samples or pre-order collections. Please also note that due to fabric seasonal limitations, we are unable to customize print fabrics on our ao dai.   • How long ahead should I order customised dresses?
    A: At VietCharm-AodaiHouse, custom Aodai dresses can be processed up to 90 days in advance to ensure the dress will be available on the desired date. This allows our customers to plan and secure their custom dress for special occasions or events. Additionally, for those in need of an express order, it is possible to expedite the process by paying a $30 deposit for a minimum processing time of 30 days. This flexible purchasing option caters to the individual needs and time constraints of our valued customers.
  • How do I care for products?
    Wash clothes Vietcharm products should be hand-washed or dry-cleaned. You should use a mild detergent (shampoo, shower gel) to wash your ao dai instead of regular laundry detergent. Absolutely do not use bleach. Wash separately from other clothes In case you cannot hand wash, you can machine wash with the lightest wash mode, remember to use a laundry bag. However, with silk and brocade, Vietcharm still encourages customers to hand-wash For new fabric products that are still stiff, you can soak in fabric softener to soften the surface for more comfortable wearing. Drying clothes Dry the ao dai in a ventilated, moderately sunny place to avoid fading. Too much sunlight will cause the ao dai to fade and lose its shine Iron Iron on the lightest setting Iron the inside to secure the fabric surface. It is recommended to use a steam iron. If using a regular iron, you should place a wet piece of paper on the fabric surface before ironing Care If you do not wear ao dai often, you should hang your ao dai or put it in a clean bag and place it in the closet so that your ao dai is always clean, soft, and dust-free. Avoid hanging the ao dai on the hanger for too long as it will cause the colour of the ao dai to fade For accessories, Try to keep the jewellery from getting wet by removing them before you shower, go to the sauna or take a swim. You can take care of your jewellery by cleaning them with mild soap water and then oiling them afterwards. Oils that are suitable for this purpose are among others coconut oil, olive oil or any other kind of natural oil. By oiling the wooden jewellery you keep the wood from cracking and the surface of the jewellery stays beautiful.

  • Why do I need to pay for the booking appointment and it is redeemable?
    The booking fee is to secure your appointment. If you purchase items, the fee is fully redeemable for a normal consultation and partly redeemable for a custom design consultation.
  • Can I bring my friends when I come to the store?
    The best shopping experiences are often when you just come with one, or two more people. Often we see girls come into the store with a large group of friends, and they end up confused, frustrated and without a dress because there are too many opinions. Keep it simple, and bring your most honest and trusted shopping buddy. You can rely on our team to look after you, we will not let anyone buy a dress that isn’t perfect for them!
  • Are your products available for rental services?
    Our rental is for a 5-day process with 4 rental days in Victoria state. We recommend you pick up your order 1-2 days before the event to ensure you have plenty of time to get your perfect look. Day 1: Retrieve the item and try it on Day 2: Prep for the big day Day 3: Wear it (and work it) at your event Day 4: Cleaning the dress Day 5: Return your rental item to our boutique. For Interstate, the rental will be counted from the day delivered. All the rental services need to be booked for express shipping (3-5 business days shipping). Thus, the total day will be 10 days.   • Do you offer alteration services?
    We do offer alteration services, but only for Purchase Orders. Our designer is based in Australia and our products are designed specifically for our dress form. The alteration process will take a week, and if you need express service, an additional charge will apply. Each part of the service will cost $5. However, please note that the alteration service is only available for our items. On the other hand, we do not provide alteration services for rental products."
  • Are there any late fees applied?
    If there is a delay in returning the product, the Customer must contact The Seller immediately. Depending on the circumstances, an additional fee may or may not be applied. Late fee of 25% of the hire price per day will be applied for late returns, which is effective starting the next day of the final return date. If The Customer fails to return the rental item(s) within three (3) days of the provided return date without making an official statement, VIETCHARM will declare the rental item(s) non-returned and hold the whole 100% deposit that The Customer has already paid.
  • What are your Cancellation/ Refund/ Exchange Policies for rental items?
    If we are unable to process your order for any reason, the deposit will be refunded. All items purchased are non-returnable after leaving VIETCHARM’s premises. For In-store, all hired items are non-refundable after leaving VIETCHARM’s premises. Customers are required to check for any damages, or faculties on the product before completing the item. The Customer will hold responsibility for any damages incurred after the product leaves our premises. For Online, you can choose between a refund or exchange where items are faulty, have been wrongly described, or differ from what you purchased on the website. A $25 cancellation fee per order applies to all cancelled pickup dresses. If your event is cancelled or you cancel your hire, VIETCHARM will happily refund the rental amount minus the $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations must be advised 48 hours before the Pickup Booking start date, before the item is collected by the customer or posted to the customer. VIETCHARM does not offer refunds for any reason for cancellation of items after you pick them up and cannot accommodate requests for changes in those circumstances. VIETCHARM reserves all rights to refuse any requests for variations submitted after the confirmation date. VIETCHARM reserves the right to cancel the product/products at reasonable notice. Reasons for cancellation may include (but are not limited to) an item being unavailable due to an unexpected late return by the previous customer or damage to an item. In this case of a cancellation, The Service Provider offers a full refund, store credit or the option to exchange for another item. For the exchange, We’re happy to send you the best-fit size and do an exchange! Otherwise, we only replace other items if we don’t have different sizes with the same items.     The rental price is 60% of the purchase price, but rental is only available for stock in our physical store. To rent an ao dai, you can visit our store, browse through the available stock, and select the ao dai you would like to rent. For in-store, Our staff will assist you with the rental process, including the fitting and payment. Please note that we require a security deposit and have specific terms and conditions for the rental, which you can inquire about in-store or on our policies page for online rent. We strive to make the rental process convenient and ensure that you have a beautiful and authentic ao dai for your special occasion.

  • What are your Cancellation Policies for in-store items?
    12.1. If we are unable to process your order for any reason, the deposit will be refunded. 12.2. All items purchased are non-returnable after leaving VIETCHARM’s premises. 12.2.1. For In-store, The Customer is responsible for checking for any damages, and faculties on the product before completing the payment. The Customer will hold responsibility for any damages incurred after the product leaves our premises. 12.2.2. For online purchasing, you can choose between a refund or exchange where purchasing items are faulty, have been wrongly described, or differ from what you purchased on the website by 90% (the colour may be different from the photos) 12.3. A $25 cancellation fee will be applied to all cancelled pick-up dress appointments if the Customer cancels your purchase before the appointment date. VIETCHARM may happily refund the purchasing amount minus the $25 cancellation fee. Note: We do not refund the 30% non-refundable Deposit for order products. 12.4.     9.1. VIETCHARM is happy to refund within 5 days from the receiving date. Once VIETCHARM receives your parcel, the refund will be automatically processed. 9.2. The item returned must be unused, with the original tag and original packing. We do not accept returns on items that have been worn, damaged, washed or altered in any way. 9.3. The following items cannot be returned: jewellery, accessories, traditional shoes, bags, scarves, headbands. 9.4. Items on “as it” or sale from 25% and above cannot be returned or refunded. Note: Please do not send your return items to the address on your package. Always check and read the confirmation of return details provided by VIETCHARM before shipping.   • Custom-to-Size Orders
    1. Custom-to-Size option is available for certain products and will be available within 3 months from the date of deposit. 2. Custom-to-Size items will require a 100% deposit to proceed to the next step. After the order has been placed, the customer will be contacted by an expert consultant immediately to proceed with custom measurements. 3. The customer will be required to book a customised consultation is complete and the order is approved. When the consultant has confirmed that the payment has been received the order would be proceed to be manufactured and shipped up to 3 months from the date of complete payment. 4. If you don't have time to consult with us, you can send us your size based on our measurement guide and follow the instructions in the Custom-to-Size FAQ and our custom agreement on our Policies page. However, you need to take responsibility for the measurement that you sent to us. 5. If a customer has a change of mind within 48 hours (2 days) time from the date of deposit and notifies the consultant via chat, the deposit will be fully refunded. 6. Design modification requests will not be applied after the dress is more than 30% complete, as determined by, and at the sole discretion of VIETCHARM.
  • Custom-to-Design Orders Consultation step
    1. The consultation appointment includes an email or an appointment meeting with the designer to discuss the client’s design and budget as well as a series of communications about the design. This would be a great time to bring in photos of Ao Dai you like along with colour preference and to know what type of look you want to achieve that will help to decide on a certain style if you are completely unsure of what you would like. I would be happy to guide you on the best looks to fit your body type and personal style. 2. A non-refundable consultation fee of $50 per design is required which must be paid in cash or via online bank transfer at the commencement of the consultation. The customer needs to sign and pay the deposit in 3 days after the Agreement is sent, otherwise, the agreement will be expired. Once we proceed together, in crafting your piece, the consultation fee will be redeemed towards the purchase. 3. If 90 days have elapsed from the date of consultation, the client would have forfeited his/her consultation fee and the value can no longer be applied towards the purchase. We reserve the right to extend this period on a case-by-case basis. 4. The consultation includes the full development of the bespoke design including identifying all materials and gems and building the design model of the piece/s. An accurate quotation can only be given after the completion of the design and the discussion with our team after the consultation date. 5. After an initial consultation or correspondence in which the Customer communicates to the Designer what he(she) is envisioning, the Designer shall provide one to two sketches maximum in 5 days of possible designs to choose from. These sketches may be synthesized or modified until the final design is agreed upon. 6. The Customer confirms and agrees that the Custom Design accurately reflects your wishes with respect to style, fabric selection, and all other Product details. The Customer understands and agrees that the Price of the Product has been calculated based on the Custom Design. 7. If the Custom Design involves fabrics and/or materials not currently in stock with the Designer, the Customer will be notified of the need to order such items. If the fabrics and/or materials are unavailable or are on backorder, the Customer will be given the option of a, Selecting alternate fabric and/or materials suitable by VIETCHARM. b, Choosing other fabrics and/or materials suitable by Customer
  • Custom-to-Design Orders From Vision to Concept step
    8.1. We often get asked to recreate styles from other designers. Please note that every artist is different, so everything will not be as exact 100%. Every designer has their way of creating. Patterns, sewing techniques, fabric choices and personal way of style are what make each design unique. So, to avoid any conflict we would recommend the Customer order from that particular designer, that way you would receive the best quality of your products. 8.2. For the Fabric and materials, we keep very limited fabrics in store, however with our fabric connections we can get a variety of fabrics to make your vision come to life. For any fabric samples that are not in store, we will send the fabric picture through email around 7 days flexibly after the consultation date. 8.3. The Product custom and purchasing can be processed up to 90 days in advance to make sure the dress will be available on the date. 8.4. For the express order, you agree to pay a plus $30 deposit for the express order minimum in 30 days. The Designer may not provide sketches, depending on the urgency of the customer.
  • Payment step
    1. VIETCHARM is responsible for sending the updated agreement, including shipping method confirmation. The consultation fee will be redeemed on top of the sub-total of order. Also, the plus fee will include in the total price. 2. VIETCHARM will include the measurement cheat sheet if the Customer is Online shopping and interstages. 3. The Customer confirms again the design to make sure it is the right design. Once VIETCHARM receives the receipt of payment, the order will start processing.
  • Custom-to-Design Orders Sizing step
    1. For best fit, it would be recommended to come with fitted clothes preferably nude underwear, a push-up bra size that you prefer to wear on the day and a fitted top so that your correct silhouette is captured. 2. VIETCHARM is responsible for taking measurements of the Customer, choosing, and agreeing upon the used fabrics and materials of the Product, and setting and showing up at fitting appointments. 3. The Product custom and purchasing can be processed up to 90 days in advance to make sure the dress will be available on the date. 4. For online consultation, VIETCHARM will give the client the guidelines and VIETCHARM will follow the measurement that you gave to us. If the items do not fit you well, we do not have responsibility for the items. Two options will be suggested: You can bring it to a local alteration service to fit the dress You can ship it back to us to fix that if it can be repaired. However, As such, you will be responsible for paying for your shipping costs to exchange your item. If the design is not similar to 80% of the one we agreed on, the client will send it back to us and we will fix or do the new one for you. As such, you will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs of your item. We will be responsible for sending fixed items.
  • Custom-to-Design Orders Fitting appointments step
    1. After signing the Agreement and placing the order with VIETCHARM, we may be required to show up to fitting appointments. 2. When setting up the date and the time for the fitting appointments it is essential that the Customer ensures that you will be able to show up to them. If the Customer does not show up for your fitting appointment or is more than 1 hour late or cancels it with less than 24-hour notice, it will be considered missed. 3. The fitting appointment can be rescheduled for free only one time at a customer’s request if you give at least a 24-hour notice to VIETCHARM. 4. The Customer has to be aware that missing or rescheduling fitting appointments may lead to delays in the manufacturing process. The Designer will not be responsible for not being able to deliver the Product on time due to a missed, cancelled or rescheduled fitting appointment.
  • Custom-to-Design Orders Design modification step
    1. If the Customer wishes to modify the Custom Design in any way after the date this Agreement was signed, you must email VIETCHARM. Within 48 hours of receiving the email, VIETCHARM shall offer the Customer an updated sketch of his (her) design and/or a complete detailed technical description of the requested changes, as well as an Updated Price for the Product, reflecting the additional materials resulting from VIETCHARM modification(s) the Customer requested. 2. To initiate the design modification(s), the Customer must reply by email, confirming that you accept the modified Custom Design and that you agree to pay the additional charges that shall be added to your final balance. 3. Please note that design modification requests will not be applied after the dress is more than 30% complete, as determined by, and at the sole discretion of VIETCHARM.
  • Custom-to-Design Orders Responsibilities policies
    12.1. During the consultation process, the Seller agrees to faithfully record the ideas and design directives of the client, in conjunction with the Seller’s design advice. 12.2. All gems and stones will be selected before manufacture and inserted into the final item/s in good faith, by the VIETCHARM. 12.6. In this context (clause’s 7 and 10) requested changes do not include the replacement of the client's gems that have incurred damage or breakage as a result of the resetting process and cannot be included in the final article. 12.7. The VIETCHARM agrees to take all reasonable care when using client-provided gems, in both set and unset states but does not guarantee nor insure against breakage or damage for any gems independently sourced by the client for use in item/s. 12.8. In the event of a breakage or damage occurring to a client’s stones or gems, replacement stones and gems can/will be selected by the client in consultation with the Seller and final cost/s will be adjusted and agreed to, at that time. 12.9. Both parties agree in principle that the VIETCHARM is the authority on resources and designs for the item/s and acts in good faith regarding any advice and/or technical knowledge given to the client as part of the design process. 12.10. For online consultation, VIETCHARM will give the client the guidelines and VIETCHARM will follow the measurement that you gave to us. If the items do not fit you well, we do not have responsibility for the items. Two options will be suggested: You can bring it to a local alteration service to fit the dress You can ship it back to us to fix that if it can be repaired. However, As such, you will be responsible for paying for your shipping costs to exchange your item. If the design is not similar to 80% of the one we agreed on, the client will send it back to us and we will fix or do the new one for you. As such, you will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs of your item. We will be responsible for sending fixed items.

  • Shipping & Returns Policy

Please check for more information at check-out Pre-orders and Customized Orders will ship in an estimated up to 90 days, which already includes a time frame for order processing/manufacturing.   • What is your Delivery Policy?
    1. Vietcharm will contact the Customer by phone or e-mail approximately 24 hours before the Product is complete to schedule a pick-up time and final fitting. Please note that pick-up must take place during Vietcharm’s standard business hours of 9:00 AM to 7 PM. 2. When setting up the date and the time for the pick-up appointment it is essential that the Customer ensures that you will be able to show up, as the Designer will not be able to change the appointment date or time. If the Customer does not show up for your pick-up appointment or is more than 30 minutes late, or cancels it with less than 24-hour notice, it will be considered missed and will be subject to a $50.00 missed appointment fee, which will be added to Customer’s final balance. 3. The pick-up appointment can be rescheduled for free if the Customer pays off the remaining balance for the Product no later than the pick-up date set by this Agreement. 4. If the Customer is unable to make the re-scheduled appointment, Vietcharm shall pack the Product and ship it to the address the Customer provided at the time you signed this Agreement. If you wish to have the Product sent to a different address, it is your sole responsibility to contact Vietcharm and give the alternate shipping address. Please note that Vietcharm will ship the Product to the Customer only after receiving the full payment for the Product and services offered according to this Agreement, as well as the delivery price. 5. Vietcharm is not responsible for delays in the delivery of the Product outside its control, such as postal or courier delays, hurricanes and other natural disasters, or any other unforeseen.
